Description

Shakshuka is a flavorful and comforting dish made of poached eggs in a rich tomato sauce, seasoned with spices and fresh herbs. It’s perfect for breakfast or brunch, served with crusty bread.

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 onions
  • 1 red chili
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 tbsp caster sugar
  • 800g cherry tomatoes
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tbsp chopped coriander
  • Feta cheese

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan, soften onions, chili, garlic, and coriander for 5 mins
  2. Add tomatoes and sugar, simmer for 8-10 mins
  3. Create dips in the sauce, crack eggs, and cook with the lid on for 6-8 mins
  4. Garnish with coriander and serve
